Disappointed July 25, 2010 ghsu I really wanted to like this tank. So much so that I ordered 3 in different colors. Don't get me wrong, the reviews that this tank provides great support due to an actual bra instead of just a shelf is true. I'm a size 34F so support was what I was looking for. Here's my problem:
For the price of this tank, I wanted to be able to wear it out and about. The problem is that the size I ordered (which is my bra size) was WAY too snug in the body area. Having just given birth 6 weeks ago, I'm just not that comfortable wearing a top that shows everything out in public. Really, how many women go right back to their tip top shape after given birth and why can't companies making clothing specifically for this group of women understand this easy concept?
I was working on being okay with the extremely snug fit since I do prefer to wear nursing tanks at home for ease of use but here's the clincher that turned me off completely. The snaps to release the top is incredibly difficult to use. I have to use two hands to unsnap the top. Sure it would be nice to not have to blare out to the world that I'm wearing a nursing tank but ultimately, I'm wearing these tanks for quick and easy access. The LAST thing I want is to fiddle with the snap while my son is squirming and screaming his head off because he's too hungry to wait for me to mess with my clothing.
In the end, I'm just disappointed with these tanks, especially for the price. If Bravado could fix these 2 flaws, I would have happily purchased multiples of these despite the price, especially since I wear these tanks all the time.
If it wasn't for the great support, I would have given these tanks a one star.
Not worth it. July 23, 2010 Christa Wickert I bought one of these bras because it had been given good reviews and I needed nursing tanks. I've had it for about 3 months now and I am extremely disappointed. Here is a list of reasons of why I did not like this brand.
1. I am not sure what bravado considers a full bra built in but I think of an actual bra that has been sewn onto the extra layer of material that is attached to the shirt. This is not the case. It is a shelf bra with one line of fabric down one side of your boob.
2. Thinking it is an full bra when you open the shirt all that should be uncovered is what a regular nursing bra uncovers, such as your nipple, areola and about an inch or two circumference around the areola. Nope not the case if you take both side down your whole top half would be exposed, except for those one straps of fabric I mentioned before.
3. Not comfortable. Honestly I could live with the top two things not what I expected but if it serves the purpose then I'm not picky. However, those straps of fabric I mentioned before are not comfortable. It is not at all supportive like a 'full bra' should be, and I read the reviews to order one size up because the tend to run small. Well I wear a C cup so I ordered the D/E size. The elastic at the bottom of the bra is extremely tight and leaves rings around my chest when I take it off as soon as I get home.
Don't get fooled into paying an exorbitant amount for an uncomfortable shelf bra. Go to Target and buy the one there. I love it wear them daily and they are a fraction of the price. Only 18 dollars. Trust me when I say the bravado tank is not worth your hard earned money.
Practical and flattering July 2, 2010 Sarah L. Miller I looked around at a lot for nursing tanks before buying this one. I was really torn between the Glamourmom and the Bravado. Luckily, I had gone into a maternity store that had both brands and got to try them on. I'm glad I did. I love the Bravado. It truly is practically and really flattering. The gathered stitching really gives this nursing tank a bit of style that didn't scream, nursing tank. The Glamourmom tank was okay there was just nothing to it, it also did something weird in the armpit where it made my post pregnancy flab pucker out. Not attractive. The Bravado did not. After looking around for cheaper nursing tanks, I'm glad I spent the extra on this one it is well worth the money and now I have two.
Really like it, better for smaller chests June 14, 2010 Grant's Mom (Wixom) I used these tanks with my first child. I really liked them, but my boobs were so big (D-DDish)at the time i would have rather had a tank that was more scoopneck than v-neck. But, it did support me well. My sis wore it and her chest was maybe a B-C and it looked a little better.
Seriously...the best nursing tank out there! June 4, 2010 Polka Dot (BC, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
One of my biggest regrets during breastfeeding was only buying one of these tanks. I wanted to "save" money and get cheaper nursing tanks but, in the end, I would invariably wear the Bravado. Simply put, they are well made, comfortable, supportive, and easy to open and close with one hand. Other tanks I've used only open partially or you have to work to get your breast out - not very convenient when you have a crying hungry baby on your hands! I also liked that they had multiple sizes not just small, medium and large. Bravado understands that three sizes does not fit all. I'm on the smaller side and it fits me great, but friends are on the larger side swear by the Bravado as well. Finally, I liked the way it looked under clothes - it was smooth and not lumpy like other tanks I've used. I know now that if I have anymore children I will definitely order at least three Bravado tanks to have in rotation.
